Plant Sale and Student Activity Day at Grass Lake School District 36

Description

Please join us for our annual plant sale and student activity day. In continuance of our summer school garden class, our students are provided with hands on opportunities to learn how to plant, grow and maintain a vegetable garden.  All the plants for our summer school gardening program are generously donated from Jennifer Patton, a former GLS Graduate, through her family owned farm, Crooked Pine Farm & Garden.  The plant sale will incorporate the following vegetables from their farm:

• 25 varieties of tomato plants (i.e., cherries, plum, medium to large and heirloom)
• 13 varieties of green, orange, yellow, and several mild to super-hot peppers
• Variety of herbs (i.e., oregano, rosemary, thyme, basil and lemon basil)
• Broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage plants
• Flowering baskets and individual flowers
• Variety of succulents

In addition, there will be painted pots available for purchase from  Pots by Sue to brighten up and decorate your patio and several stations for students to attend and learn about gardening.
