Wizards & Muggles Gather in Antioch , IL
Wizards, Witches and Muggles alike will gather in Downtown Antioch, IL for their 1st annual Wizards Weekend on Saturday, June 17th and Sunday, June 18th, 2017.  Join us to celebrate all things of a magical nature, bring your owl (just kidding), your wand (or smartwand), and dress as the character you most closely relate to. Be ready for some Wizard Chess (preregistration is required for Wizard Chess).

Begin your Magical Day by picking up a Marauders Map at the Ministry of Magic Information Booth, complete with schedules and wizard shops, etc. can be found at the Wizards and Muggles Craft Faire, downtown Antioch, intersection of Main and Orchard Streets.

Contests, games, and more magical moments are being conjured at Antioch's Wizards Weekend. Be part of this magical world of Harry Potter and all things magical. Antioch will transform itself with the swish of a wand (and the help of magical volunteers) to bring a weekend of magical fun to all creatures-magical or muggle alike. Wizards and Muggles of all ages will enjoy many magical moments this weekend! For the past year, planning for Wizards Weekend has been underway, creating magical moments for all ages.   • Kids Hogswart School of Magic* is for children ages 8-13. REGISTRATION IS CLOSED.  THERE ARE 20 TICKETS AVAILABLE FOR SALE ON SATURDAY MORNING AT 9:30 AM (pls bring $20 cash). While at Hogswart (June 17th, 10:00-11:30 am) students may dress for their House of choice or will be sorted by the Sorting Hat. There are only a limited number of students accepted, so register at WizardsWeekend.com quickly. Magical Classes include Herbology, Potions, Defense Against the Dark Arts and Divination. All students receive keepsake items and are encouraged to bring their (or their parents) smartwands (cell phones) for photos. Hogwarts is only open to students and is located at Antioch Elementary School (AES) in downtown Antioch. Parents can plan to enjoy the Wizard & Muggle Craft Faire next door to the school while waiting.We only have room for 120 students, we will have 20 tickets for sale Saturday morning at 9:30 am at Hogswarts.. You will be admitted but will not receive the Hogswart Acceptance Letter...need to be registered by 6/12/17 to receive H.A.L..
  • Wizard Village Shops are open on Saturday, 10-4 for Magical Fun...bring your SmartWands for Photo Ops! Pick up your Map at the Ministry of Magic Booth to find Wizard Shops!
  • Little Wizards Fun Fair, 12-2 each day (hosted by NorthBridge Church), at the Wizard and Muggle Craft Faire.
  • Magical Attire Contests will be held on Sunday, 6/18 at Noon at the Wizard & Muggle Craft Faire (located in Downtown Antioch). Magical attire is a must. Magical beasts (dogs only) may also dress for a chance to win prizes!  Wizards & Witches of all ages may enter our Magical Costume Contest, no spells may be placed on judges! Sign up at Ministry of Magic Information Booth on Sunday at Noon to participate.
  • Wizard & Muggle Craft Faire will be held in Downtown Antioch. Bring your gold and green to enjoy out of this world creativity from our crafters. Interested in becoming a crafter? Visit AntiochChamber.org to find Magical Crafter information and also you Muggles (non magic people) can find AC info too. Hours for AC Faire are Saturday 10-4 and Sunday 10-3.
  • TriWizard Chess Tournament takes place on Saturday, June 17th at the Wizard & Muggle Craft Faire. Gather your chess mates and be the chess pieces at our version of Wizard Chess. The tournament will award the TriWizard Chess Trophy to the team that wins! Register your team (of 16 people) at WizardsWeekend.com. Team entry fee is $10. Your team (have a team name, can be families, friends, classmates, or just a group of wizards!) will be assigned a time for your Wizard Chess Match! To Register Your Team of 16 ($10 a Team), click on the blue registration button above and use the drop down link at "choose one" for chess event. In the event of no registration, Wizard Chess Experts will be on hand to demonstrate.
  • Scavenger Hunt & Horcruz Search takes place on Sunday, June 18th, between 10 am and 2 pm. Maps will be available at the Ministry of Magic Information Booth at the Wizard & Muggle Craft Faire. Search through the wizards village and complete your challenges for a chance to win magical prizes. Return your complete entries to the Wizard Info Booth by 3 pm on Sunday, June 18th. Winners will be announced by owl and posted at Wizards of the Chamber Facebook page.
  • Marauder's Maps available at the Ministry of Magic Information Booth.
  • Butterbeer and other mystical fun.
  • Bring your SmartWands (cell phones) for all of your photo ops.
