Part-Time Marketing & Communications Associate
Work schedule: 24 hours per week. Schedule to be determined, may include some evening hours.
Compensation: $21.00 per hour
Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Communications, Graphic Arts or related field.
- Ability to use Adobe Creative Cloud software (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premier Pro, etc.) and Canva, with strong graphic design, photo or video skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Strong working knowledge of social media platforms.
- Demonstrated ability of strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of current public relations, marketing and community relations principles.
- Public speaking skills.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to set priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Sound judgment.
- Valid driver’s license and proper vehicle insurance or ability to travel.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Help manage key social media channels and profiles including but not limited to: Facebook, Instagram, Google Business Profile and others, as appropriate.
- Develop communications content to be delivered in various formats including via online, print distribution, video, digital and other mediums as needed.
- Assists in the delivery of programming and other library materials to local businesses and organizations as needed.
- Assist in the development and updating of facility wide patron handouts and other promotional materials.
- Attend meetings, continuing education programs, and conferences to stay informed about trends, issues and best practices in public relations and marketing within libraries.
- Assist in the development, coordination and execution of facility wide programs, events and displays.
- Serve as liaison between the Library and community/community partners, alongside or in the absence of the Head of Marketing & Communications.
- Participates in Library wide committees and events.
- Other duties as assigned.
