About Us
The museum offers a look at the Native Americans, businesses, and domestic life in early Antioch and the Chain O' Lakes area. Housed in the 1892 yellow brick schoolhouse, the second school on the site, there are nine rooms of artifacts from the prehistoric through the 1960's. You can visit old Main Street, Antioch, a farm kitchen, the lotus beds of Grass Lake, see farming and ice harvesting tools, return to a one room school and a Victorian Parlor. You can also search an extensive local postcard collection. Bring your friends, family, school, church or scout group! Private tours are available free of charge. Reservations can be made by calling 847-395-4912.
